The Ford Mustang Mach-E was the first of its kind. A high-performance car that was redesigned to meet the needs of all power-hungry drivers while offering the ability to be a viable daily driver. Why this happened is actually quite simple. People today want power, performance, and top acceleration without giving up the ability to haul groceries, sports equipment, or even luggage for long road trips.

In 2025 Chevrolet will join its rival in the sports car/performance car/SUV segments of the industry. Since the Corvette is more of a sports car than it is anything else, Chevy may have a more difficult time meeting the needs of the new generation of buyers, but since they have already announced that they will be attempting the task, it would be great to go over some of the features that everyone would like to see in the 2025 Chevy Corvette SUV.

But first, it needs to be said that the Corvette SUV needs to be its own model, with numerous trim lines to please all the potential buyers. That means it cannot simply be one design fits all type of model. It needs to have some choices for consumers to have. Otherwise, it will quickly be lost in the pages of history.

Granted, the Ford Mustang Mach-E has done very well so far, but let's face it, the all-electric SUV from Ford is no super SUV. We will just have to wait and see what happens when Chevy joins the party with the highly-anticipated launch of the 2025 Corvette SUV.

1 Four Electric Motors Plus A V-8 Would Mean Big Power For The 2025 Corvette SUV

The front end looks mean and powerful, as it should for a vehicle designed for speed

Being derived from a sportscar, let's kick things off with performance first. Cars like the Honda NSX and Porsche and BMW prototypes feature multiple electric motors. Tesla Plaid models today have three motors, that propel the car from 0 to 60 mph in under two seconds and can shoot down the quarter-mile track in under 10 seconds.

Imagine a setup consisting of one electric motor that can push out an extra 160 horsepower to the front wheels, working in tandem with the 495 horsepower LT2 V-8. Now, just imagine if four electric-driven motors could each push out 160 horsepower, one on each wheel, to maximize the acceleration and power.

This design would give the 2025 Corvette SUV up to 1,135 horsepower, which is definitely something that this author would love to see and drive. Now obviously, a lot of R&D will have to go into sorting out the aero and dynamics, in order to make sure that, despite the added mass the SUV continues to handle like a Corvette.

2 Advanced Hybrid Recharging Technology Would Be Helpful On The 2025 Corvette SUV

A regenerative braking system may be the only way to effectively recharge the batteries on a hybrid, but within a couple of years, there will be some significant technological advancements. What consumers would love to see as a feature on the new 2025 Chevrolet Corvette SUV would be a way for the batteries to always be charged, no matter how often they are used.

Now granted, there will be some times when the system is using the motor, but by using the other moving parts of the hybrid, such as the transmission, the SUV will easily have a charge in the batteries. Another plausible way to recharge the hybrid batteries would be to install solar panels that collect and distribute the energy converted from the sun.

3 A 4x4 Version Of The Corvette SUV Would Be Ideal

Any SUV, even if derived from something like the Corvette, must have the option of a 4x4 drivetrain. Now, the SUV is already set to be an AWD vehicle, which is great news for the offroad enthusiast, but how it is designed now will not leave much room for fun. Think Tesla Model X vs Rivian R1S.

Chevy needs to come up with a way to increase the ground clearance of the SUV because even though consumers will still want power and torque, they also want to be able to travel off the beaten path without hitting the bottom of the Corvette SUV on rocks or debris. Of course, some good skid plates can also help, but unless the vehicle is lifted off the ground, it will never be a practical offroad contender.

4 Biometric Entrance And Operation Would Be Awesome On The Corvette SUV

Jumping onto some tech features now. Companies like Mercedes Benz, Mazda, Cadillac, and Genesis vehicles have been playing around with biometric technology in cars, but the tech still has a ton of room for growth. Chevy has always been one of the world's automakers at the forefront of innovative technology.

It would be awesome to see the 2025 Chevy Corvette SUV with biometric entrance and operation sensors. After all, it is estimated that by 2025 the global market in the automobile industry for biometrics will reach around $1.56 billion, so it is not only feasible for it to be designed into the Corvette SUV, but it will almost be expected by then.

5 The 2025 Chevy Corvette SUV Needs Self-Driving Capabilities

Is the upcoming Corvette aggressive enough to hold your attention?

When it comes to self-driving cars, many people imagine a vehicle of the future. One that can drive itself to any destination once the driver has input the information into the system. In the autonomous technology field, that is known as a level 5 car. One that can drive using AI systems without the need for human interactions. These cars will not even have a steering wheel or a set of pedals, but this technology is still just an idea.

The basic vehicle today is at level 2 or 3, which means that the system can help the driver, and in some instances, drive without human help, but in the end, the driver will always need to be paying attention to the road, which in the opinions of most is expected. As for the new Corvette SUV, it would be nice to see level 4 or 5 technology, but at the least, it must have level 3, which means that the SUV can drive itself in some instances, but the driver will always need to be aware and ready to respond. While it may be a nice convenience, this is still a Corvette, and the driver will still want to be in absolute control.

6 AI Driver Monitoring System On The Corvette SUV Is A Must

The Corvette SUV's ground clearance allows for some seriously meaty tires - all the better for a performance vehicle

AI-driven driver monitoring systems are available in some vehicles, such as Ford's BlueCruise and GM's very own Super Cruise, to maintain a close eye on the driver. The system monitors the driver to ensure they are attentive to the driving task, even if the car is set to drive autonomously. It would be great to see an even more advanced system in the 2025 Chevrolet Corvette SUV that could monitor not only the attention levels of the driver but their health as well.

In this way, the AI system could pull the vehicle over if the driver is unhealthy and call emergency responders if needed. This system would also help in an accident because the AI components can call 911 and have a complete medical scan ready for them when they arrive.

7 State-Of-The-Art Infotainment Center Is Needed In The Corvette SUV

Corvette E-Ray

The infotainment center in all modern cars is the control system for anything that deals with communication and entertainment. It is one of the most innovative areas within the vehicle because it can adjust front and back noise levels (not the noise of children yet) and can save specific adjustments for each individual driver.

All this technology will be expected in the new Chevy Corvette SUV, but it would be nice to see more. More safety features, more adjustments, and all-around more options. Plus, even though the touchscreen versions are nice, the infotainment center in the 'Vette needs to support voice recognition so the driver can always pay attention to the road.

8 360 Degree Pedestrian And Impact Sensors On All Corvette SUVs

TopSpeed
The back of the SUV is still definitely Corvette, even if it has five seats and Land Rover-esque ground clearance

It may seem a bit silly to have a 360-degree pedestrian detection system in the low-slung 2025 Corvette SUV, but let's break it down for a moment. A person walking, riding a bike, or learning tricks on a skateboard, can come at the car from any direction. The new Ford Police Interceptor Utility was designed to give officers behind the wheel, 270 degrees of vision, so it is almost a viable option already.

A system that can even tell when aggressive people are approaching and can lock the doors automatically. Now, the Corvette SUV may not need that level of technology, but it is essential to have as many safety features installed as possible, especially when it comes to helping stop the ever-increasing deaths due to vehicle-on-pedestrian accidents.

9 It Would Be Cool To See A Visual Security Alarm In The 2025 ‘Vette SUV

At one time, decades ago, a security alarm on the car would have been an added addition that many felt was not worth the cost. Today that is not the case. Almost every car, truck, and SUV that comes off the production lines has some type of alarm system to prevent theft and vandalism. The problem is, though, that all they do is sound an alarm in an attempt to scare off the criminal.

It would be nice to see a new security system on the Corvette SUV that visually keeps track of what is around it and sets off an alarm accordingly. The best point would be that the owner or police could remotely access the vehicle to not only see the criminal activities take place but to disable all functions unless the person is recognized or has the code to disable the anti-theft system.

10 Corvette SUV Needs Self-Diagnostic Tools On The Go

Everybody knows what a vehicle scanning device does, but by 2025 it would be thought that the technology of automobiles would be above having to use them. A program that is constantly running diagnostics on the Corvette SUV would help prevent breakdowns on the side of the road, and it would help give the car a longer life. A.I. applications may even work around the problem area briefly to provide the owner with time to get to a shop. With this type of self-diagnostic tool on the go, it would be easy to maintain the Corvette SUV and keep it running at optimal levels that you'd associate with any vehicle, let alone a high-performance SUV.
